SUMMARY:Ride Like a Girl - Women's MTB Ride - Waterdog
DESCRIPTION:(Note this is a Sunday ride\, which is unusual for Ride Like a
Girl.)\nAnd now for something completely different ...\nWell\, not complet
ely different. We're staying on the peninsula\, but exchanging the sweepin
g views of the Skyline parks for the twisty tricksyness of Waterdog Lake &
amp\; Open Space in Belmont. Ride Like a Girl last visited this park waaay
back in 2014!\nJoin ride leader Rebecca Lewington at 8:30am at the Hidden
  Canyon trailhead. (2642 Carlmont Dr\, Belmont\, CA 94002). We'll gather u
p for a quick huddle to talk about the ride at about 8:45\, and roll at 9:
00 am.\nWe'll probably split into two groups. The Teal group will cover ab
out 9 miles with 1\,500 feet of climb. These trails are technical in spots
\, so this ride isn't recommended for less-experienced riders. Intermediat
 e and up will be fine.\nThe longer\, Denim group\, will do a second\, part
ial lap for 16 miles and 2\,800' of climb\, you'll have earned your after-
ride beverage after a grand day out.\nThe mission of Ride Like a Girl is t
o have fun\, learn new trails and meet other women (cis\, trans and femme)
who love to mountain bike. We’ll take care of you: these are no-stress
rides where no one is left behind.\nPlease bring your mountain bike\, obvi
ously\, in good working condition. (No ebikes\, please. Ride Like a Girl i
s strictly acoustic.) Whether you’re running tubeless tires or not\, ple
ase make sure you have a spare inner tube to fit your wheels\, plenty of w
ater and some food for the trail.\nWe usually hang out for a while after t
he ride\, so bring along your favorite beverages and snacks if you feel li
ke it. And a chair!\nBTCEB tirelessly advocates for better bike access on
trails in the East Bay and we need your support. Please consider joining t
oday at https://btceb.org/join-us/.\nIf you have questions\, please commen
t below and we’ll get right back to you.
