Joaquin Miller Gala Ride
Another great Gala ride this last weekend. We had about 40 riders total with about 20 or so on the intermediate ride. We started off down at the Trudeau Training Center (Skyline Blvd & Joaquin Miller Rd) and headed out Dunn and up Graham to the Redwood Bowl. Then onto West Ridge, down to Moon Gate where we turned around and headed up “Goat Hill” and into JMP on Castle Park. After a quick loop around the little section of Bayview (by the Chabot Observatory) we headed down Cinderella. We then headed up to the main meadow on Sunset and looped around on Sunset Loop, down Palos Colorados to the wooden bridge, and back up Sinawik through the meadow, and up $2 Hill (where Brent collected $40). Then it was out Sequoia Bayview, past the Sequoia Arena, and up to the Pal Camp. We headed down to Roberts (on the unnamed but fun fire road) through the parking lot and back onto Graham for the quick ride back to Trudeau for beer and snacks. (Thanks Dan & Caryn for bringing the beer & snacks!)
After an hour or so and a couple cold ones, a few of us headed down the hill for more beers where we printed out my ride data.
