Wildcat Flow Trail Project Stewardship Study Published

EBRPD has published a stewardship study for the Wildcat Flow Trail Project.   Field surveys were conducted in the spring and fall of 2022.

From the project website:

With regard to wildlife, there is potential for some species to be present during trail construction, e.g., bumble bees, California red-legged frogs, Alameda whipsnake, nesting birds, etc. Nomad Ecology has advised that preconstruction surveys and biomonitoring measures can alleviate any potential impacts to these species. The Park District is now poised to commence public engagement and further analyze this project under CEQA. Project costs have not been finalized.

An EBPRD project website has been created where you can find the link to the stewardship study.   A public engagement process is planned to begin by summer of 2023.   We’ll update you when the park district releases details of the public engagement plans.
