Ride Report: Ride Like a Girl at China Camp

At the eleventh hour, the March instance of Ride Like a Girl had to move a few miles East to China Camp, near San Rafael. Our original rendezvous at Tamarancho, in the hills above Fairfax was (wisely) closed because the rain was too much for those precious trails to cope with.

China Camp, though, was in astonishingly good condition. There were a few wet bits on the front side, but very little actual mud, so we did no damage. The narrow trails on the “back side” were in virtually perfect condition! As ever, big thanks to the volunteers who look after this wonderful place.

And the ride itself? This comment from one of the 16 strong, lovely women who joined me speaks for itself:

“OMG thank you all for an amazing ride today! Loved it from the kick ass hill climbs to the spicy downhill single track.”

The next edition will be on April 15. Visit our Meetup group to sign up and get notifications. We always ride on the third Saturday of the month, so now you have 9 things to do in 2023!
