The East Bay Regional Park District continues to develop their plans for the Briones Pilot Program. Details change as they continue working and they indicate they’ll reach out for more direct input from Briones regular users. If you’re a regular user of Briones and can take a minute to provide some input here it may help shape where they are heading. There is concern as to whether the included trails will provide ‘enough’ access to get compliance with closing other trails. Closure of trails that are deemed unsustainable or impact specific habitat and compliance with that is a HIGH priority for the park district. Curtailing new unsanctioned trail building is also a very high priority. If you’re a regular rider at Briones we’d appreciate your input on this survey to help EBRPD design a successful pilot. This is NOT an attempt to entrap anybody.
We’ll convey this information to park staff and information will be anonymous. It is up to park staff on how they use this information. We will post information when we hear of any planned outreach to the public by EBRPD via website, public meeting or other means. We have asked that they post information in the park as well to make it directly accessible to regular users.
