Join us on SATURDAY JULY 25TH for our Gala ride through the redwood flow of EL CORTE DE MADERA CREEK PRESERVE (aka Skeggs)! This will be a great time as we weave through the trees on Sierra Morena, ride down on Tafoni trail, rip fast over Manzanita trail and then climb out on the aptly named Methuselah trail. This is a bomb down and climb out of the valley sort of ride. Should be an awesome time so come join us!

>>> This will be an INTERMEDIATE skill level (and above) mountain bike ride ONLY. Please NO beginner riders as the climbs are intense and long. Make sure you are comfortable with at least 2000 – 2500′ of climbing.

Meet at:
EL CORTE DE MADERA CREEK PRESERVE PARKING LOT
16040 CA-35, Redwood City, CA 94062

We will gather at 9am at the *main* El Corte parking lot and hit the trails promptly at 9:30am.

The El CORTE DE MADERA parking lot is right on Highway 35 above Woodside. If coming from the north, down Hwy 35, the parking lot will be on your right hand side. If the lot is full, please park on the side of the road.

Join us for refreshments, beer and snacks after the ride. A well-tuned mountain bike is a must!

  • Make sure you have a well tuned mountain bike. We will separate into at least 2 levels of riders: The intermediate group, group B, will ride around 12 miles and 2000ft of elevation gain; the advanced group, group A, will ride around 15+ miles and 2500+ ft of elevation gain. All rides are ‘no-drop’ rides (we won’t leave you behind or let you get lost) and are fully supported.
  • BTCEB (Bicycle Trails Council of East Bay) is the oldest Mountain Bike Advocacy Non-Profit in the USA. We are a volunteer run, advocacy group for mountain bikers; we work to get more trails made in the east bay, we help maintain trails within east bay parks (like Joaquin Miller and Crockett Hills) and we organize fun rides and events for the mountain bike community. Join us and help the cause!
  • For more info on the Bicycle Trails Council of East Bay and to join, please visit http://www.btceb.org

Rides are free and open to the public and led by experienced local mountain bikers familiar with the trails. Medical coverage is provided to all paid BTCEB members, one more reason to join. Go to our web site and JOIN TODAY!
