The Bicycle Trails Council of East Bay invites you to JOIN US SATURDAY NOVEMBER 30th for our post gobble-gobble Gala ride on the flowy trails AT CHINA CAMP!
We will be riding the Bay View to Shoreline trails loop, around the shores of Marin, up Oak Ridge to get a view of the golf course, and through the trails under the trees. The advanced group will ride the dark side of China Camp. Should be a good time!
Meet at:
MIWOK MEADOWS PARKING LOT
CHINA CAMP STATE PARK
730 N. SAN PEDRO RD.
SAN RAFAEL CA 94901
GATECODE: 6032
We will gather at 9am in the Miwok Meadows parking lot and hit the trails promptly at 9:30am.
The Miwok Meadows parking lot is within the CHINA CAMP state park on N. San Pedro Rd. When coming from 101, driving East, pass by the China Camp Campground entrance and kiosk. Drive down less than half a mile and the Miwok Meadows entrance will be on your right. There is a sign marking the gate entrance. Turn in and take the gravel road down to the free parking lot–no need to park on N. San Pedro! (But you can park on the road and ride in if you want).
Join us for refreshments and snacks after the ride. As always a well-tuned mountain bike is a must!
- We offer rides for ALL SKILL LEVELS, from novice to advanced. As such we will separate into at least 3 levels of riders: The beginner group, group C, will ride around 9 miles and 800ft of elevation gain; The intermediate group, group B, will ride around 12 miles and 1100ft of elevation gain; the advanced group, group A, will ride around 15+ miles and 1500+ ft of elevation gain. All rides are ‘no-drop’ rides (we won’t leave you behind or let you get lost) and are fully supported. A novice rider should be able to ride 10-12 miles ( including ~1000ft of climbing) on hilly narrow singletrack for 2.5 hrs.
- BTCEB (Bicycle Trails Council of East Bay) is the oldest Mountain Bike Advocacy Non-Profit in the USA. We are a volunteer run, advocacy group for mountain bikers; we work to get more trails made in the east bay, we help maintain trails within east bay parks (like Joaquin Miller and Crockett Hills) and we organize fun rides and events for the mountain bike community. Join us and help the cause!

- If you are only a BTCEB here on MeetUp member, then you aren’t fully supporting our club. Take a moment and consider joining as a dues paying member to help in our quest to free the singletrack.
Gala Rides are free and open to the public and led by experienced local mountain bikers familiar with the trails.
Supplementary ride medical coverage is provided to all paid BTCEB members–one more reason to join!
