The Grinch didn’t steal our Gala Ride! Bicycle Trails Council of the East Bay invites you to join us on Saturday December 28th for our first Gala ride of the Spring through the flowy vistas of CROCKETT HILLS REGIONAL PARK!

This will be a fun time through one of the parks BTCEB helps maintain. We will be riding to the top of Soaring Eagle trail with views of the Bay, dropping in on the poppy Sugar City trail, railing the raw splendor of newly reopened Goldfinch trail, and flowing the turns in the shaded canopies of Tree Frog trail.

Should be an awesome time so come join us!

Meet at:
CROCKETT HILLS PARKING LOT
1300 CROCKETT BLVD,
CROCKETT, CA 94525

We will gather at 9am at the Crockett Hills parking lot and hit the trails promptly at 9:30am.

The CROCKETT HILLS parking lot is right on Crockett Blvd, inside the town of Crockett. Drive to down Crockett Blvd and the park entrance will be on your right.

Join us for refreshments, beer and snacks after the ride. A well-tuned mountain bike is a must!

  • We offer rides for ALL SKILL LEVELS OF MOUNTAIN BIKERS, from novice to advanced, but make sure you have ridden before and have a well tuned mountain bike. We will separate into 3 levels of riders: The beginner group, group C, will ride around 9 miles and 1100ft of elevation gain; The intermediate group, group B, will ride around 13 miles and 1500ft of elevation gain; the advanced group, group A, will ride around 15+ miles and 1500+ ft of elevation gain. All rides are ‘no-drop’ rides (we won’t leave you behind or let you get lost) and are fully supported. A novice rider should be able to ride 8-10 miles ( including ~1000ft of climbing) on hilly narrow singletrack for 2.5 hrs.
  • BTCEB (Bicycle Trails Council of East Bay) is the oldest Mountain Bike Advocacy Non-Profit in the USA. We are a volunteer run, advocacy group for mountain bikers; we work to get more trails made in the east bay, we help maintain trails within east bay parks (like Joaquin Miller and Crockett Hills) and we organize fun rides and events for the mountain bike community. Join us and help the cause!

Rides are free and open to the public and led by experienced local mountain bikers familiar with the trails. Medical coverage is provided to all paid BTCEB members, one more reason to join. Go to our web site, BTCEB.org and JOIN TODAY!!!
